The Shape of Growth
My new tree portrait collection. I use layered, textured acrylics to paint semi-abstract trees. I love the buoyancy of dappled light, changing skies and fluttering leaves. My wonky Sudoku grids suggest an organic order. My trees celebrate growth and resilience, inviting you to step outside the noise of everyday life into something spacious, joyful and alive.

Hi I'm Abs
I love outdoor adventures, sunlit trees, and the wild beauty of New Zealand. My semi-abstract paintings are full of bold colour and texture. I moved from England to the Bay of Plenty in 2010, and the 2020 lockdown rekindled my love of painting. As a mum of three and part-time optometrist, painting helps me slow down and feel fully alive. My husband, Zanda, makes these floating frames. I hope my paintings inspire you to get outside and delight in the sunshine.
